Non-Destructive Indentation Analysis
What You Can’t See May Make All The Difference
Think for a moment about a pad of paper on a desk in a hotel room. It’s there for writing quick notes that you likely then take with you or discard.
But is taking or destroying your notes really enough?
When writing is done on one page while on top of another page, the writing may create indentations on the lower page. In fact, these indentations may be left several pages deep.
Indentations such as these may be vital to discovering additional information that may be relevant to the case including the sequence in which documents were prepared, information about the date on which something was prepared, or alterations that may have occurred.
We at KDX Forensics have the equipment to visualize and decipher even the most subtle indentations non-destructively.
“KDX found indentations that provided crucial information on when the documents in our case were prepared. Very impressed!”
“Physical evidence cannot be wrong, it cannot perjure itself, it cannot be wholly absent. Only human failure to find it, study and understand it, can diminish its value.”
